Journalism, guidebooks, screenwriting and expedition leading — from the African continent since 2002.

I report from East and Southern Africa for Dutch and Belgian media, including Het Parool, De Standaard, Algemeen Dagblad, Leeuwarder Courant, OneWorld and Vice Versa, with reporting from Kenya, Uganda and Eastern Congo.

I have written three guidebooks in the Dominicus series — Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar; Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique; and Safari! — and served as editor of the Dominicus guide to Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

I also work as a screenwriter, and lead journeys through East and Southern Africa for groups and individuals.
